Weird edits for Delta Airlines POI: spam/vandalism, what to do?

Users godinfabien and 7007smart are making suspicious edits:

  • First, godinfabien adds building=delta airlines phone number customer service or name=delta airlines phone number customer service or service=...etc … and a phone number,
  • then 7007smart adds source=s

to 28 delta airlines related POI worldwide.

Both edits have a very spam-sounding changeset comment, and the accounts are less than a month old.

Also, the number they provide is not listed on Delta airlines website, and can only be found online in very similar sounding text.

Other users with the same behaviour:

All blocked.

All changesets seem to be promoting a particular phone number.

No idea if its genuine.

Is there already revert in works, as described in block message?

For example Way History: ‪Delta Airlines Gates‬ (‪51307969‬) | OpenStreetMap still has this new number

Please do ensure that the DWG gets an email or a report about each problem user so that we can make sure everything gets dealt with. I’ve just blocked and reverted Delta Air Lines (from 2 years ago!), but it looks like not all of the others are completely reverted yet.

There are at least 21 left.

Edit: All gone now! I’ve removed the overpass link from this post to the old spammy data.
