Hello UK community,

I’m reaching out regarding the potential State of the Map Europe 2025 event. We at TomTom are interested in learning more about the event’s status, as there have been some unofficial discussions and talks suggesting it might take place in Edinburgh, UK this year.

Could you please provide any official information about:

  1. Confirmation of the event taking place in Edinburgh
  2. Specific dates for the event
  3. Any related links or official announcements
  4. Information on sponsorship packages

Hello Salim,

There’s been some discussions about where and when the next State of the Map Europe will be, but nothing is set yet.

I’ve led some of those discussions so will drop you a message and exchange contact details. If/when things are more set I will be able to update you.

It can also be good to watch the SotM wiki page to see all that are planned across the world.

I added that note/refrain because I didn’t want people getting excited about the conference when there isn’t anything to do about it. But now…

Get excited!!!
We have a website, newsletter sign-up, and even a cute logo!
We’re going to have an awesome conference too, make sure you get updated about it by going to https://2025.stateofthemap.eu/ and putting your e-mail address in the Newsletter box.

If anyone would like to join the volunteer team organising it, then please get in touch. The communications/promotion certainly takes a lot of time with just a few people. We’re also going to need help with graphics, sponsorship-relations, session selection, and lots more.
