A few of us have been having an ongoing discussion in Queensland Translink GTFS feed IDs/tagging modernisation/PTNA?

I just wrote another reply to the OP, & as I started to write, the system popped up a suggestion that I should talk via PM rather than continuing in thread:

You’ve replied to @OrichalcumCosmonaut 3 times, did you know you could send them a personal message instead?

This seems rather strange, in that I thought we always encourage everybody to discuss ideas etc in public, rather than private?

It’s supposed to be a trip wire for when two people are going back and forth a lot, dominating the discussion and possibly coming in too hot, or when someone is badgering another user. At that point, private messages could help lower the temperature. There are legitimate reasons for replying to someone multiple times, so it lets you dismiss the warning and keep replying.
