One is accessible to people nearby and is not indexed. The other allows to find a location associated with a person’s name from anywhere in the world, for eternity. So “it’s posted on the outside of their building” does not eliminate all reasonable expectations of privacy imo.
In my region, most young small business pick a name even for solo endeavours. The practitioners are frequently also listed on the outside of the building, but not much bigger than a doorbell sign.
