The proposal as is has me thumbs down. Presently a simple yield pre announcement sign at N meters from the actual yield spot, mapped separately is
traffic_sign=IT:II.38
distance=* tag
traffic_sign:direction=* with the way the sign is pointing (not sure why traffic_sign: is added as prefix to direction!)
By the side of the road in as close to the exact spot as possible, whilst I think to remember in a few countries they plant the traffic sign data on the ways, with long discussed pros and cons.
