OpenStreetMap is happy to provide their data and maps for free to the world. The only thing we require is attribution where our data gets used.

The typical way to provide attribution on a web map like on Mozzart’s site is to display © OpenStreetMap contributors as small text in a corner of the map.

Here’s a mockup:

Since you are using Leaflet to implement the map, adding attribution is easy and should require only two small code changes. This should take only a few minutes of work.

  1. Do not set attributionControl: false on the Map. (refer to Map documentation)
  2. On the TileLayer set the attribution to &copy; <a href="https://www.openstreetmap.org/copyright">OpenStreetMap contributors</a>. See the TileLayer documentation where this is also shown in the example code.

Leaflet by default also adds a 🇺🇦 Leaflet attribution to itself. If you don’t want that, you can remove it with map.attributionControl.setPrefix('').
