And this is why ultimately the local community has the final say in how various objects are represented, even if that does not mesh perfectly well with what is perceived otherwise to be the general standard. Thinking on your post, it is very true that the cultural idea of what constitutes a sidewalk vary greatly. I myself have experience with two types of ‘sidewalks’: in Brasil and United States.
