that depends on few things

  1. how you interpret roads? many are usable also by pedestrians and cyclists

  2. what about greenery? author of that linked piece considers trees next to roads to be “reserved for cars” for some silly reason

Would you be fine with map showing car parking areas in red? These are often more objective and actionable, and only few people are actually against having roads. It should be doable with Overpass (if that is interesting, but not sure how to create it - let us know!)

Also, such map is fairly easy to make. Making map that takes into account roads/sidewalks/cycleways would probably require QGIS or similar tool - but if you are interested in experimenting and learning, let us know here!
