80n was a well known early OSMer who was on the OSMF board 2007 and 2008, well known for, among other things, a questionable taste in programming languages 
To his credit I should point out that he wrote and provided the 1st (?) read only API for OSM, XAPI, which was the predecessor (in functionality) to the overpass API.
